I mean… this is what those “south east asians” do… sleep all day… and be lazy.

Hi, people that read this.

Life’s been pretty unforgiving lately, this semester has been my worst at uni in terms of the amount of uni work and the level of difficulty… I think i’ve only realized this after my body crashed and I slept for about 5 hours yesterday during the middle of the day.

I slept from 10am to 3pm after I had already had a full nights sleep! And if you know me, you would know that I HATE sleeping through the day… What a waste of daylight!  I mean… this is what those “south east asians” do…  sleep all day…  and be lazy.

For me to have slept during the day meant that I was either really sick or needed some rest. Luckily it was the latter of the two. I think the last time I’ve ever slept during the day was the day I got back from Japan on a 9 and a half our flight. Where I didn’t sleep because I thought that if I slept I would be wasting all the cool time I had on the plane. So instead I stayed up and watched the inflight movies.

But things could be alot worse… Luckily, I had someone to break things up for me. Like someone to go to Max Brenner for breakfast with and someone to get attacked by crazy evil leaves with. Its not that bad… just alot of annoying uni work.

On a brighter note (which isn’t really bright literally but more in a figurative sense) if you haven’t noticed already the theme of my blog has changed. Yep, its back to the dark colour background… which I love and hate… but what I really like about this new theme is the simplicity. No banners, no nothing. Just a simple blog. Which is a nice change.

Also I added two new links down the bottom of my blog. One is more of a changed link rather the a completely new one. Anyways, the first one is Jasmine’s new blog! Which also looks great! I’m not sure how long she has had her old one for but the new one is on tumblr and is really simple and nice (did she copy me? who knows…). But tumblr means that you can’t comment on her posts… which sucks.

And the other new link is Noorj’s blog =) it rulz. LOL (ps if you are reading this, go write a new entry now loser!)

i never saw coming…

Hey everyone,

As you all know, tomorrow is new year eve.

To me thinking of the new year makes me look back at this year and think of all the things that have happened… And i’ve got to say 2008 was a year that i never saw coming…

I think a fun way to re-cap my year is to recount the ways that i have met some of the new friends that i have made at uni.

IVAN: Basically the one thing that made me decide that i was going to try and make friends with this guy, was that at the very beginning of uni camp, where we were seated in the gymnasium hall for an introductory speech by the people who were running the camp site. The Lady stated that we should all be careful because the camp site was prone to floods and fires, and this guy who was sitting next to me (Ivan) says “what about flooders? (a pun combining the words floods and fire)” And that was it, that joke cracked my up so much, that it had led me to the belief that this guy was very cool and funny, and that i had to make friends with him.

GORDON: This one was an easy one. Again at uni camp on the very first day, our first activity was to fill in questionnaire on our other camp mates. As i was walking around trying to find someone to ask what colour thier eyes were. This guy pops out of no where and asks me very assertively “ARE YOU A HALFIE?” surprised by this sudden attack i slowly responded “yes…” and quickly walked away. Later on we became good friends.

LENNY(or LEONARD): The first time i met this guy was on a train ride home with Ivan. We were catching the train home where we met up with Lenny and his friend Nikki. At the time Lenny had a blonde streak though his fringe and i was basically scared shitless of him. It was not until the seconds semester of uni until i truely got to know him and came to an understanding that he only looks scary and that infact he is a quite friendly character.

Because I am running out of time ill leave it here and maybe continue doing this for the rest of my friends later… I would like to end by saying that I’ve recently heard from a friend that there is a saying that goes something like:

“how you spend new years eve is how you are going to spend the rest of the next year”

Well… if that rings any truths my next year will consist of me spending alot more time with my family then i did this year, as i am spending new years eve with my family, which is a pretty good thing i guess.
